The Joy of Sewing Project – A series of classes that teaches girls (ages 13-17) the skills and knowledge needed to pursue a career as a seamstress. Participants learn how to make purses, bags, rugs and other items that they can gift to friends and loved ones or sell to the mission groups.

Instead of lectures and tests, Friends of Hope educators do first, talk later. Our curriculum brings ideas to life through experiential learning, executed in real-world scenarios. The curriculum integrates Friends of Hope's eight Foundational Values, principles and individual characteristics that are essential to success in both school and life.
